The breakwater at the end of St Kilda pier, Melbourne, Australia is home to a colony of ~1400 little penguins (Scientific name: Eudyptula minor). These penguins have been the subject of a study since 1986 and can be viewed by the public every night of the week. Earthcare St Kilda are a not-for-profit organisation responsible for researching and managing the colony. Find us on Facebook to get regular updates about the colony. We are currently applying for funding to develop an app that will enhance the penguin viewing experience and help protect the colony. If you would like to help us, all you have to do is vote for our project via the Pick my Project website.
